Vogliamo che il nostro primo telaio in carbonio sia un mezzo straordinario, che vada ben oltre lo status quo. A tale scopo abbiamo prodotto l’Air 9 Carbon; espressamente costruito partendo da zero per essere superleggero, ultraveloce e con una maneggevolezza spaventosa; pur offrendo nel contempo la comodità tipica che il nome Air 9 sa offrire.

Strutturalmente l’Air 9 è un telaio completamente in carbonio, che utilizza degli inserti in lega metallica nelle zone critiche (come nelle sedi per i cuscinetti del tubo sterzo o nella scatola del movimento centrale). Per le pelli è stato utilizzato carbonio ad alto modulo, disposto in modo peculiare per creare un telaio leggero e resistente, con gli inserti in lega metallica che forniscono le basse tolleranze richieste a livello di interfaccia per la componentistica.

Lo sviluppo del telaio ha avuto inizio con l’analisi di una enorme quantità di dati, che ci ha permesso di determinare la forma primaria dei tubi. Studi con software FEA, modelli fisici, anni di esperienza e un rigorosa fase di progettazione industriale, hanno contribuito a produrre questo capolavoro. Ogni decisione, ogni forma, ogni singolo tubo trae origine da una scelta ben ponderata, al fine di ottenere dall’Air 9
